How We Use and Share Your Personal Data
This notice explains how DV Group collects, uses, or otherwise processes personal data collected from you through our website, or collected from you at one of our events in relation to hearing more from us. Personal data means information relating to you as a living, identifiable individual.
What Information We May Hold About You
You can access most pages on our website without giving us your personal information. However, you may choose to provide personal information such as your name, email address, or mailing address on some pages of our websites, for example by completing an enquiry form. By submitting your personal information, you consent to our use of that information as described in this privacy notice.
We may also generate personal data about you in connection with our work for you or in connection with marketing activity. Our marketing systems may record information such as your contact details, your interactions with us, and your interactions with marketing emails.
When you visit our website, our server may automatically record your IP address and the time and duration of your visit. We may use information about your website interactions to tailor marketing communications to areas that we consider are most likely to interest you.
SaaS and Instant Website Services
This section applies where you purchase our subscription software or ready-made website products, currently AI CRM, ITSM, ERP, HRMS & Payroll, POS, E-commerce Website, News Portal, Blog Website, Basic Website, and Prime Website.
For these services we hold two different kinds of information:
- Account and billing data that you give us to buy and run the service, such as your name, email address, mobile number, company name, billing address, GST number, domain name, plan and payment records, support tickets, and login and activity logs. We use this to create and operate your service, raise invoices, provide support, send renewal and expiry reminders by email or WhatsApp, and meet our legal and tax obligations.
- Service data, which is the business data that you and your users enter, upload, or import into the software, such as your leads, customers, employees, attendance and salary records, products, orders, invoices, and documents. This data belongs to you. We store and process it only to provide the service to you, to take backups, to keep the platform secure, and to give support when you ask for it. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for our own marketing or to train models for other customers.
For service data you act as the Controller or Data Fiduciary and DV Group acts as a Processor acting on your instructions. If you store personal data of your own customers or employees in our software, you are responsible for having a lawful basis and for issuing your own privacy notice to them.
Our staff access service data only where it is needed to deliver support, resolve a fault, or comply with law. Where a support request requires access to your account, we may ask for your confirmation through a support ticket.
Service Providers We Use
To deliver these services we rely on third parties acting on our behalf or under their own terms, including hosting and data centre providers, payment gateways for online payments, and email, SMS, and WhatsApp providers for transactional and notification messages. Where you connect an external integration to your account, such as a payment gateway or a messaging or courier service, data is shared with that provider under its own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for how it handles that data.
Security and Data Breach
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, hashed passwords, and encrypted connections to our websites. No system can be guaranteed to be fully secure, and we cannot warrant absolute security of data transmitted to or stored on our services.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential, for the access you grant to your staff and third parties, and for removing users who no longer need access. As set out in our Terms and Conditions, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for data leak, loss, corruption, or unauthorised access arising from compromised or shared credentials, acts of your employees or contractors, third-party plugins, integrations, or customisations, devices or networks outside our control, or attacks that occur despite reasonable security measures. Nothing here limits any obligation or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including our obligation to notify a personal data breach where required.
If you believe your account or data has been compromised, contact support@dvgroup.co.in immediately.
How Long We Keep Website Data
As an active contact within our marketing system, we expect to retain your data for three years from the date you last provided marketing consent.
Account, billing, and invoice records are retained for as long as required by applicable tax and company law. Service data is retained while your subscription is active. On expiry, non-renewal, cancellation, or termination, access is suspended and your service data, including uploaded files and databases, may be permanently deleted as described in our Terms and Conditions. You are responsible for exporting your data before expiry.
Your Rights
You may ask us to give you access to the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it is inaccurate, delete it where we are not required to keep it, or withdraw your consent to marketing communications. Requests relating to service data stored in a customer's account should be raised with that customer, since they control it.
To make a request, or to raise a grievance about how we handle personal data, email legal@dvgroup.co.in or support@dvgroup.co.in. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Who May See, Use, or Receive Your Data
Personal data collected through our websites may be seen by our marketing team for the purpose of providing information about services that may interest you, based on your stated preferences, consent, or our legitimate interest.
We may use agents or service providers to assist with these activities. Where relevant, personal data may be provided to and processed by such providers under our contract with them and only to the extent appropriate for performing that contract.
We do not otherwise share your data for marketing purposes.
